Primary purpose of the role:

  • Deliver a sound retention and account development strategy for existing accounts.
  • Support the commercial development by collecting market intelligence and addressing customer needs with development or deployment of solutions/products.

Tasks:

  • Develop successful growth programs and deliver growth through new or additional services for assigned strategic customers in the Benelux
  • Present an annual account plan per customer
  • Maintain and develop business relations on a tactical and strategic level
  • Identify and attract new business opportunities and develop them into sustainable and profitable growth with existing customers
  • Coordinate and develop proposals for new products with existing customers
  • Adhere to the company sales process and ensure timely reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Validate solution feasibility with cluster & site management
  • Complete effective negotiations surrounding new contracts
  • Support the development of the internal & external marketing approach
  • Provide support, advice and intelligence in the development of products and services with sectors, develop country specific products & services.

Knowledge/skills:

  • Masters degree or experience in Sales / Business Development / Logistics
  • Knowledge of logistics: insight in the (inter)national transport and logistics market, as well as competitors in relation with eachother.
  • Product knowledge in warehousing / supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques / customer control.
  • Verbal skills to hold a conversation on strategic level
  • Commitment to continuous improvement management
  • Socials skills to maintain internal and external contacts
  • Presentation skills
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to arouse the customer's interest
  • Positive approach to change management
  • Understand and explain the Unique Selling Proposition
  • Analytical Skills
  • Working in a matrix environment
  • Team Player
  • Fluent in Dutch, English, French and German.
